Bedbugs

Recently a customer asked me about Bedbugs. She said, "The last time I heard anything about bedbugs was when I was a child getting ready for bed, Sleep tight, and don’t let the bed bugs bite. What’s the real story?"

Bedbugs in the U.S. have not been an issue for years. However, as international travel has increased so have bedbugs. Though more common abroad, and known for superior hitchhiking abilities, these nocturnal, elusive transient pest, are on the rise across the U.S. and getting rid of them is a difficult lengthy process. Bedbugs derive their name from their tendency to live in beds, but they can be found in carpets, under wallpaper, behind baseboards, and in small cracks and crevices throughout a room. Also, bedbug infestations are not attributed to unclean or unsanitary living conditions, so staying in a nice hotel is no guarantee. While staying at hotels here and abroad, pull down the bed covers at night. If you see something moving, or if you see spots on the sheets, move to another room or switch hotels. After traveling, inspect your suitcases before bringing them into the house. Consider vacuuming them thoroughly to remove any suspicion of pests. Customer Service Is Key to Survival

You know when I started this company almost twenty years ago, I told myself (as I was the only employee - LOL) that I would make certain that each customer received outstanding service each and every day. It was my promise to myself and to my customers.
As we grew and with each new hire, I told the new team member that the most important thing of all was "outstanding, exceptional customer service."
Of course, when it was just me, it was easy to control. Once you begin adding employees, as much as you try, the bottom line is that unless you instill your business beliefs thoroughly into your worker, he or she may not follow the guidelines of service you've set in place exactly to the letter. That's where quality control comes in; still, you cannot know that each and every person will do what needs to be done and treat each and every customer exactly as they should be treated with respect, courtesy, kindness and thoughtfulness.
Today begins my blog. What I hope to accomplish with this effort is to offer another dimension to our customer service. It is not good enough to offer good customer service. We must offer exceptional customer service. Visit my blog to learn more about what you can do to help control pests in and around your home, how you can take steps to insure your family is being protected, and to learn a little more about entomology (the study of bugs).

I'll also be offering up some tips about mold and mildew and other moisture management issues in your crawl space. You can visit our website anytime at http://www.americareservices.com/ or call us on our local number or toll free numbers. I've listed them and they'll stay posted on this blog for easy reference for you.
Hey, it's a whole new world, and Ameri Care Termite and Pest Control is changing a bit every day to guarantee you receive exceptional customer service. We have competitive prices and quick turn around times, so if you haven't experienced the difference, give us a shout.
Next time - we'll start talking "termite" - it's about time for swarm season!
